## What is Terac? [#what-is-terac]

Terac is an AI-native panel infrastructure that recruits, screens, and delivers verified experts to research platforms. What you do here is paid research work: a short interview, a survey, or an ongoing project. As an expert on Terac, you can:

- **Browse opportunities**: Find studies that match your background and expertise
- **Take part in studies**: Everything from quick surveys to ongoing hourly projects
- **Earn money**: Get paid for your approved work
- **Refer others**: Earn a share of what the people you refer are paid

## The Expert Journey [#the-expert-journey]

1. **Create your account**

   Sign in at [terac.com/login](https://terac.com/login) with LinkedIn or another provider. There is no password to set.

2. **Complete onboarding**

   Verify your phone number, connect LinkedIn or add your resume, and review the profile Terac builds for you, including your preferred hourly rate.

3. **Take the onboarding interview**

   A short voice conversation with Sophia, about 10 minutes, that helps us match you with the right opportunities. You can skip it and take it later from Home.

4. **Browse opportunities**

   Open **Explore** in your dashboard, or see what is open at [terac.com/opportunities](https://terac.com/opportunities). Opportunities you are invited to appear on **Home**.

5. **Apply and do the work**

   Each opportunity walks you through its own steps, usually screening questions and then the tasks themselves.

6. **Get paid**

   Approved work is added to your Terac balance. Verify your identity once, then move your balance to your payout balance on the Earnings page and withdraw it to your bank through Whop.
