What We're Researching

We're running a paid study on a new web tool designed for recording your screen and creating focused walkthroughs. Help us evaluate how intuitive the tool is for capturing bugs, sharing workflows, or creating how-to tutorials directly in the browser. Your feedback will guide improvements to make the platform smoother and more reliable for everyday tasks.

How It Works

You will open the web application on a laptop or desktop and record a brief, harmless workflow from start to finish. Once done, you will capture a screenshot of your completed recording within the tool itself. Finally, you will upload the screenshot and answer a few short questions about what you expected, what actually happened, and whether you would use this over your current setup. We want completely honest feedback about any bugs, slow loading times, or confusing steps you encounter.

Who This Is For

We welcome anyone who frequently needs to show others what happened on their computer, whether for reporting bugs, documenting workflows, or creating tutorials. You must have access to a laptop or desktop computer to complete the recording task. We are looking for individuals who can provide clear, critical feedback without holding back on usability issues.

What You'll Do
  • Access a browser-based application on your laptop or desktop computer
  • Record a short walkthrough of a public website or standard workflow
  • Take a screenshot of the completed recording inside the application interface
  • Answer a few brief questions detailing your expectations and actual experience
  • Provide candid feedback on any bugs, confusing steps, or performance issues
Who Should Apply
  • Frequent need to share screen recordings, bug reports, or workflows with others
  • Access to a reliable laptop or desktop computer
  • Comfortable navigating new browser-based software applications
  • Ability to provide honest, detailed feedback on user experience
Contract & Payment Terms

  • This is a fully remote opportunity that can be completed on your own schedule.
  • Opportunities can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
  • Your participation will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
  • Payment is issued as soon as your work is approved.
  • We are unable to support H1-B or STEM OPT candidates at this time.
