Payment Operations Specialists: Evaluate Card Dispute Scenarios

We are running a paid study on how professionals evaluate credit card chargebacks and transaction disputes. The goal is to understand the factors that strengthen or weaken a merchant's case during a contested payment. Your insights will help us refine how dispute evidence is presented and assessed.

You will complete a short, remote activity on a provided web page. The task involves reading four brief, fictional card-dispute scenarios. For each case, you will decide which party should win the dispute and rate your confidence in that decision. You will also briefly note what specific factors weakened the merchant's argument.

We welcome payment operations specialists, chargeback analysts, and e-commerce professionals who handle transaction disputes. You should have a strong understanding of merchant defenses and evidence requirements. Anyone with experience navigating payment gateways or resolving customer chargebacks is encouraged to apply.

• Determine the winning party for each scenario
• Rate your confidence in your decision
• Identify weaknesses in the merchant's case for each dispute

• Professional experience with payment processing or e-commerce operations
• Familiarity with credit card disputes and chargeback workflows
• Ability to critically evaluate merchant evidence
• Comfortable completing an independent web-based task

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
• This is a fully remote opportunity that can be completed on your own schedule.
