Soccer Commentators: Audio Description Writing for Blind Fans

We are running a paid study to improve accessibility in sports media by developing rich audio descriptions of live games. Our goal is to ensure blind and visually impaired fans experience the full excitement and spatial dynamics of a soccer match. This project focuses on translating visual on-field action into compelling and accurate audio commentary.

You will review selected video clips of recent soccer matches on our remote platform. After analyzing the plays, you will write detailed audio descriptions that capture the pace, positioning, and emotion of the game. The task involves submitting your written commentary for evaluation and review. You will also answer a few short questions about your typical broadcasting or writing workflow.

We are hiring sports broadcasters, soccer journalists, play-by-play announcers, and accessibility writers for this task. Ideal candidates have strong knowledge of soccer terminology and experience translating fast-paced action into clear descriptions. We also welcome radio hosts and sports media professionals with a passion for inclusive broadcasting.
