Browse open opportunitiesSign up to TeracWe're running a paid study on a new web application designed to simplify screen recording and digital walkthroughs. The tool runs directly in the browser without requiring any software installation, aiming to help people easily report bugs or explain workflows. We want to understand how intuitive the platform is for first-time users and identify any technical issues before a wider release.
In this 10-minute remote task, you will access our web-based tool on your laptop or desktop and complete a single screen recording. You will record a harmless, non-confidential tab or public website from start to finish. Afterward, you will capture a screenshot of your completed recording within the app and upload it for our review. Finally, you will write a few short sentences detailing your step-by-step experience, noting any bugs you encountered, and explaining whether you would use this over your current recording method.
We are looking for everyday internet users worldwide who have access to a laptop or desktop computer with a modern web browser. You must be comfortable navigating new web applications and writing short, descriptive feedback in English. We welcome students, professionals, and anyone who occasionally needs to share screen captures or technical walkthroughs.
- Navigate to the provided web application on a desktop or laptop computer.
- Record a short video of a non-confidential browser tab or public website.
- Take a screenshot of the completed recording inside the tool's interface.
- Write clear, step-by-step feedback describing what happened during the test.
- Compare the tool's performance and ease of use to your current screen recording methods.
- Access to a laptop or desktop computer with a current web browser.
- Sufficient written English skills to accurately describe your technical experience.
- Willingness to test a new web tool and report bugs honestly.
- Capable of following written instructions to complete a short, independent task.
- You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
- This is a fully remote opportunity that can be completed on your own schedule.
- Opportunities can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
- Your participation will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
- Payment is issued as soon as your work is approved.
- We are unable to support H1-B or STEM OPT candidates at this time.
