What We're Researching

We're running a paid study on the long-term visual aftereffects of LASIK eye surgery. Understanding how patients experience phenomena like halos, glare, and changes in night vision is critical for improving patient education and post-operative care. This research aims to capture honest, detailed accounts of visual changes directly from the source.

How It Works

You will participate in an asynchronous written exercise detailing your personal LASIK journey. We will ask you to describe your vision quality before the surgery and how it changed afterward, specifically focusing on low-light conditions. You will write out your experiences with any halos, starbursts, or glare you might have encountered. The task involves thoughtfully answering a series of text prompts at your own pace.

Who This Is For

We welcome anyone who has personally undergone LASIK eye surgery. We are especially interested in hearing from individuals who have noticed changes in their night vision or experienced visual artifacts like glare and halos. Whether your procedure was recent or years ago, your direct patient experience is exactly what we need.

What You'll Do
  • Complete a written questionnaire about your LASIK eye surgery experience.
  • Detail your personal observations regarding night vision changes.
  • Describe any encounters with halos, starbursts, or glare after the procedure.
  • Provide honest feedback on how these visual changes impact your daily life.
