Accounts Payable Specialists: Interview on Invoice Exception Workflows

We're running a paid study on invoice processing and vendor compliance workflows. Help us evaluate how finance teams handle missing tax records and exception states during the billing cycle. Your feedback directly informs how we design better exception-handling tools for procurement platforms.

You will participate in a remote video interview to review a sample billing scenario. We will present a case where a supplier submits an invoice but lacks matching tax records on file. You will walk us through your standard operating procedure for deciding whether to pay, reject, or flag the invoice for further review. You will also discuss the tools and internal policies you rely on to resolve these compliance gaps.

We are looking for finance professionals who actively manage vendor billing, invoice exceptions, or tax compliance. We welcome Accounts Payable Specialists, Procurement Managers, Finance Operations Analysts, and Billing Coordinators. You should be comfortable discussing your day-to-day workflow for handling non-compliant supplier invoices.

• Review a sample supplier invoice scenario featuring missing tax documentation.
• Walk us through your step-by-step process for evaluating the claim.
• Explain your criteria for paying, rejecting, or escalating a non-compliant invoice.
• Discuss the internal tools or databases you use to verify vendor records.

• Active role in accounts payable, procurement, or finance operations.
• Experience handling vendor compliance and missing tax records.
• Comfortable discussing internal billing policies and exception workflows.

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
• This is a fully remote opportunity that can be completed on your own schedule.
