Browse open opportunitiesSign up to TeracWe're running a paid study on the accuracy and reliability of asynchronous Python patterns in complex systems. Evaluating technical correctness is essential for building robust applications that handle concurrent operations without race conditions or deadlocks. This research helps us understand common pitfalls and best practices in modern asynchronous programming.
During this remote session, you will review a series of Python code snippets focusing on asynchronous execution. You will be asked to identify bugs, assess technical correctness, and explain your reasoning out loud. We will provide specific scenarios and ask you to evaluate how the code handles concurrency under load. Your feedback will be recorded as you walk us through your analysis and suggest structural improvements.
We are looking for backend engineers and software developers with strong hands-on experience in Python. We welcome Senior Python Engineers, Backend Developers, and Systems Architects who frequently work with asyncio or similar frameworks. You should be comfortable reading complex concurrent code and explaining technical concepts clearly.
- Review asynchronous Python code snippets for technical correctness
- Identify concurrency bugs, race conditions, or performance bottlenecks
- Explain your analytical process and reasoning out loud during the session
- Suggest architectural improvements for handling asynchronous tasks
- Professional experience writing and maintaining Python applications
- Hands-on familiarity with Python's asyncio library or similar asynchronous frameworks
- Ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts
- Comfortable participating in a remote technical review session
- You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
- This is a fully remote opportunity that can be completed on your own schedule.
- Opportunities can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
- Your participation will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
