What We're Researching

We're running a paid study on the user experience of a newly developed hackathon storefront. This research helps us understand how intuitive the product discovery and checkout initiation phases are for everyday users. Your feedback will directly influence improvements to the site's clarity and trustworthiness.

How It Works

You will navigate through the live storefront to locate one of three approved tech products. Once you find a product, you will review its details and verify that the Stripe checkout page opens correctly. Please note that you must not enter any payment information or complete an actual purchase. Finally, you will provide a brief report noting the item selected and one specific observation regarding usability, clarity, or trust.

Who This Is For

We are seeking everyday online shoppers who are comfortable navigating e-commerce websites and evaluating digital storefronts. You should have a sharp eye for usability and be able to articulate your impressions of site clarity and trust. We welcome general consumers, digital product enthusiasts, and anyone familiar with standard online checkout flows.

What You'll Do
  • Navigate a live digital storefront to find a specific tech product.
  • Review the product page layout and available details.
  • Proceed to the checkout step to confirm the Stripe page loads successfully.
  • Refrain from entering payment details or completing any transactions.
  • Submit a short report with one usability or trust observation.
Who Should Apply
  • Familiarity with standard online shopping and e-commerce platforms.
  • Ability to assess website clarity and trustworthiness objectively.
  • Comfortable navigating digital storefronts and checkout flows.
  • Willingness to follow strict instructions regarding not making a purchase.
Contract & Payment Terms
  • You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
  • This is a fully remote opportunity that can be completed on your own schedule.
  • Opportunities can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
  • Your participation will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
  • Payment is issued as soon as your work is approved.
  • We are unable to support H1-B or STEM OPT candidates at this time.
