What We're Researching

We're running a paid study on the user experience of a new coffee e-commerce platform. Our goal is to understand how intuitively first-time visitors can browse products and navigate the checkout flow. This work directly feeds into improving the site's overall layout and payment process.

How It Works

You will visit a live sandbox website and attempt to purchase a couple of bags of coffee. Using a set of provided test details, you will navigate the checkout process without entering any real payment information. Afterward, you will walk us through exactly what you clicked and in what order. You will also highlight any moments where you hesitated, got confused, or expected a different payment option.

Who This Is For

We are looking for everyday online shoppers who are comfortable navigating e-commerce stores. You should be observant and able to articulate your thought process when encountering unexpected website behaviors. We welcome general consumers, regular online buyers, and digital usability testers.

What You'll Do
  • Navigate a sandbox e-commerce website as a first-time visitor
  • Place a test order for coffee using provided dummy contact information
  • Complete the checkout process using alternative payment methods like bank transfer
  • Document your step-by-step click path and describe any confusion during the task
Who Should Apply
  • Comfortable navigating new e-commerce websites and checkout flows
  • Able to articulate usability issues and moments of hesitation clearly
  • Willing to use provided test credentials to complete a mock purchase
  • Familiar with standard online shopping experiences
Contract & Payment Terms
  • You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
  • This is a fully remote opportunity that can be completed on your own schedule.
  • Opportunities can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
  • Your participation will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
  • Payment is issued as soon as your work is approved.
  • We are unable to support H1-B or STEM OPT candidates at this time.
