Everyday Consumers: Image Verification for Daily Habits

We are running a paid study on the visual markers of authentic habit building. Evaluating how people document their daily routines helps us improve image verification systems. This work directly supports building better tools for tracking personal goals.

You will participate in a short asynchronous task on your computer or mobile device. During the session, you will look at a set of 12 photos showing people completing various daily habits like going to the gym, reading, cooking, or writing. For each image, you will indicate whether the photo appears genuine or staged. The entire evaluation takes about five minutes to complete.

We are looking for observant consumers who are familiar with digital photography and social sharing. People who actively track their own daily habits or participate in online accountability groups are a great fit. We welcome a wide variety of backgrounds as long as you have a keen eye for visual detail.

• Review a set of 12 user-submitted photos documenting daily habits
• Assess the authenticity of each image based on visual cues
• Label each photo as either genuine or fake
• Complete the evaluation within a five-minute timeframe

• Familiarity with taking and viewing digital photos on mobile devices
• Strong attention to visual detail and context
• Comfortable completing a short, focused visual assessment task

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
• This is a fully remote opportunity that can be completed on your own schedule.
