Accounts Payable Specialists: Invoice Processing and Compliance

We are running a paid study on how organizations manage invoice discrepancies and vendor compliance. Our goal is to understand the decision-making process when crucial documentation, such as tax records, is missing from an active supplier profile. This research helps us map out standard operating procedures for resolving payment bottlenecks safely and accurately.

You will join a remote video interview to walk us through a specific accounts payable scenario. We will present a simulated supplier invoice that lacks corresponding tax records on file. You will talk through your immediate thought process, outlining whether you would pay, reject, or escalate the request. Finally, you will detail the specific checks and communications you would initiate to resolve the compliance gap.

This study is designed for professionals who handle vendor payments, invoice processing, or financial compliance on a daily basis. We welcome Accounts Payable Specialists, Finance Operations Managers, Procurement Coordinators, and Accounting Clerks. The ideal participant has hands-on experience enforcing tax record compliance before releasing funds.

• Review a simulated invoice scenario where vendor tax records are missing
• Explain your decision-making process for paying, rejecting, or escalating the bill
• Describe the internal and external communication steps required to resolve the discrepancy
• Walk us through your standard workflow for validating new or non-compliant suppliers

• Active role in accounts payable, procurement, or finance operations
• Direct experience processing supplier invoices and managing payment runs
• Familiarity with vendor onboarding and tax compliance checks
• Comfortable walking through financial decision-making processes on a video call

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
