Software Developers: Feedback on AI Coding Tools

We're running a paid study on how developers interact with modern AI coding agents. The goal is to understand the pain points and productivity gains associated with AI-generated developer artifacts. Your feedback will directly influence the design of future coding assistants.

During this 13-minute session, you will complete a series of short tasks on your desktop computer. We will ask you to share your screen while you demonstrate how you typically interact with your preferred AI coding assistant. You will talk through your thought process and react to various prompts or generated code snippets. Finally, you will provide feedback on the overall usability and effectiveness of the tools you use.

We welcome software developers, software engineers, and technical architects who regularly use AI coding assistants in their daily work. You should be comfortable discussing your recent coding sessions and demonstrating your workflow. Familiarity with modern AI development tools is required to qualify.

• Demonstrate your typical workflow using an AI coding assistant
• Share your screen while walking us through recent coding tasks
• Provide verbal feedback on the usability of generated code artifacts
• Complete a 13-minute guided review session on your desktop

• Active software developer, engineer, or technical architect
• Recent hands-on experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools
• Comfortable sharing your screen during a technical walkthrough
• Access to a desktop computer for the session

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
• This is a fully remote opportunity that can be completed on your own schedule.
• Opportunities can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
• Your participation will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
• Payments are processed weekly based on services rendered.
