Hair Color Consumers: Usability Test for a Virtual Try-On Tool

We're running a paid study on the digital shopping experience for beauty products. Specifically, we are testing a new virtual try-on tool designed to help users visualize different hair colors before they commit. Your feedback will directly influence how we refine the interface and improve the overall user experience.

During this 30-minute remote session, you will navigate through a prototype of our virtual try-on hair color tool. You will be asked to complete several short tasks, such as selecting a shade, applying the color virtually, and adjusting the visual settings. As you interact with the prototype, we will ask you to share your screen and talk out loud about your thought process. Afterward, you will answer a few questions about your overall impressions and any points of confusion.

We are looking for everyday beauty consumers who have an interest in at-home or salon hair coloring. Whether you are someone who dyes your hair regularly or is just considering a change, we welcome your perspective. You should be comfortable navigating digital prototypes and providing constructive feedback on a video call.

• Access to a reliable internet connection and a working webcam

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
