Independent Merchants: Paid Interview on Payment Systems

We're running a paid study on the day-to-day realities of managing transactions and promotions at independent businesses. Understanding how store owners and operators handle customer payments helps shape better, more integrated point-of-sale solutions. Your input will directly influence the development of merchant-focused checkout tools and services.

You will participate in a remote, AI-moderated voice interview focused on your current checkout setup. The AI will guide you through a series of questions asking you to describe how you process payments and run in-store promotions. You will walk us through the specific workflow of using standalone card terminals alongside separate registers. The entire conversation flows at your pace, allowing you to elaborate on operational pain points and successes.

This opportunity is for independent business owners, managers, and daily operators in the retail or service sectors. We welcome boutique owners, independent grocers, salon operators, and local cafe managers who handle their own point-of-sale systems. Ideal candidates currently rely on standalone payment terminals rather than fully integrated software systems.
