Accounts Payable Specialists: Invoice Processing and Compliance Workflows

We are running a paid study on invoice processing and vendor compliance protocols. Accounts payable teams handle complex edge cases daily, especially when vendor documentation is incomplete. We want to understand how financial professionals navigate these discrepancies to ensure compliance while maintaining supplier relationships.

You will review a series of hypothetical vendor invoices and billing scenarios. For each scenario, you will evaluate the provided documentation, such as missing tax records or irregular billing totals. You will then explain whether you would approve the payment, reject it, or escalate it for further review. The entire session is conducted remotely via an AI-moderated interview platform.

We welcome Accounts Payable Specialists, Bookkeepers, Accounting Managers, and Financial Controllers. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience processing vendor invoices and verifying tax compliance documentation. Familiarity with standard accounting workflows and corporate payment policies is highly recommended.

• Review hypothetical vendor billing scenarios with missing or irregular documentation
• Determine the appropriate action for each invoice (approve, reject, or escalate)
• Explain the reasoning behind your compliance and payment decisions
• Walk us through your standard process for verifying new suppliers

• Professional experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or corporate accounting
• Familiarity with vendor tax record verification and compliance checks
• Comfortable discussing daily financial operations and invoice workflows

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
• This is a fully remote opportunity that can be completed on your own schedule.
