New Android Users: 30-Day Diary Study on Onboarding
You'll start with a short screening interview
We're running a paid study on the initial setup and onboarding experience for new Android smartphones. Our goal is to understand the pain points and successes users encounter during their first month with a new device. This research feeds directly into improving how modern mobile operating systems guide users through configuration and data migration.
You will participate in a 30-day remote diary study using your own device. Over the course of a month, you will be asked to complete up to 9 short diary entries detailing your experience. Each entry takes approximately 20 minutes and involves answering questions about recent tasks, setup challenges, and feature discovery. You will document your daily usage, share feedback on the interface, and highlight any confusing steps you encounter.
We welcome general consumers and tech enthusiasts who are currently setting up a new Android smartphone. Ideal candidates are actively transitioning to a new device and comfortable documenting their experience in written or video formats. We are specifically interested in users navigating the first 30 days of phone ownership.
