Consumers: Cake Shop Preference Survey

We're running a paid study on consumer preferences for online bakery storefronts. Understanding how different visual layouts affect purchase intent helps us design better shopping experiences. Your feedback will directly influence how products are presented to customers online.

You will review four different versions of a cake shop interface, each presenting the same products in a unique way. Take your time to examine how the items are displayed and sold in each version. After reviewing all options, you will select the one you would genuinely buy from. Finally, you will write a single sentence explaining the reasoning behind your choice.

We welcome everyday consumers who occasionally shop for food or baked goods online. No specialized technical or marketing experience is required for this study. We are looking for honest, gut-level reactions to retail displays from a standard shopper perspective.

• Review four distinct versions of an online cake shop.
• Evaluate how the products are presented and sold in each layout.
• Select the single storefront version you would be most likely to purchase from.
• Write a one-sentence explanation detailing why you chose that specific option.

• Everyday consumer with a basic familiarity with online shopping
• Ability to articulate preferences clearly in written English
• Comfortable making quick, instinctual choices based on visual layouts

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
• This is a fully remote opportunity that can be completed on your own schedule.
