Freelance Web Designers: Methodology Guide for Small Business Websites

We're hiring freelance web designers and agency owners to document their technical decision-making processes. Our goal is to understand how industry professionals evaluate and recommend website platforms for small business clients. This research helps us map the landscape of SMB website solutions and the criteria driving platform adoption.

You will complete a two-part asynchronous task detailing your evaluation methodology. First, you will write a comprehensive guide of approximately 4,000 words outlining your end-to-end approach to platform selection. Second, you will record a 30 to 45-minute narrated screen capture demonstrating this workflow in practice. You will walk us through real-world examples of how you compare templates, assess features, and finalize client recommendations.

We welcome freelance web designers, digital agency owners, and independent tech consultants. You should have substantial experience building websites for small businesses and a structured approach to selecting platforms. We also welcome UX professionals and digital strategists who focus on client platform adoption.
