Data Deletion Request

How to Request Deletion of Your Data

At TERAC (The Efficient Resource Allocation Company), we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. If you wish to have your data deleted from our systems, you can request deletion through the following methods:

Deletion Methods

1. Account Settings (Recommended)

If you have an active TERAC account:

  1. Log into your TERAC account at terac.com
  2. Go to Account Settings → Privacy & Data
  3. Click "Delete My Account and Data"
  4. Follow the confirmation prompts
  5. Your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days

2. Email Request

Send an email to our privacy team:

  • Email: privacy@terac.com
  • Subject: Data Deletion Request
  • Include:
    • Your full name
    • Email address associated with your account
    • Any additional identifying information (username, phone number)
    • Confirmation that you want all your data permanently deleted

3. Facebook/Meta Integration Data

If you connected to TERAC through Facebook Login:

  • Your TERAC account data will be deleted using the methods above
  • Your Facebook account remains unaffected
  • We only delete data stored on TERAC's systems

What Data Gets Deleted

When you request data deletion, we will permanently remove:

  • Profile Information: Name, email, username, profile picture
  • Account Data: Settings, preferences, team memberships
  • Interview Data: Recordings, transcripts, responses (if you participated)
  • Research Data: Any survey responses or feedback you provided
  • Usage Data: Analytics and interaction logs
  • Authentication Data: Login credentials and tokens

Data We May Retain

For legal and business purposes, we may retain:

  • Legal Compliance: Data required by law (tax records, etc.)
  • Security Logs: For fraud prevention (anonymized after 90 days)
  • Aggregated Analytics: De-identified usage statistics

Timeline

  • Account Deletion: Immediate deactivation, permanent deletion within 30 days
  • Data Processing: Complete removal from all systems within 30 days
  • Backup Systems: Purged from backups within 90 days
  • Third-party Services: Deletion requests sent to integrated services within 7 days

Confirmation

After processing your deletion request:

  1. You'll receive an email confirmation within 5 business days
  2. Your account will be immediately deactivated
  3. All associated data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
  4. You'll receive a final confirmation email once deletion is complete

Important Notes

  • Irreversible: Data deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
  • Third-party Data: We'll delete data we control, but data you shared directly with third parties (like Facebook) must be managed through their platforms
  • Team Data: If you're part of a team, we'll remove your personal data but may retain anonymized contributions for team continuity
