Feasibility & Coverage

Check whether Terac can fill your audience before you launch, what a niche request needs, and typical recruitment timelines.

Before you commit to a study, it helps to know whether your audience is reachable, how long it will take, and what it will cost. This is the most common pre-launch question, especially for niche or hard-to-reach audiences.

Checking Feasibility Yourself

For most audiences you can gauge feasibility directly in the dashboard:

  • Filter match counts show how many experts in the Terac panel match your demographic, geographic, and professional filters. This appears in the recruitment configuration panel as you build your targeting.
  • Audience feasibility lets you describe a target audience and see a ranked set of matching candidates from the panel, along with a funnel from onboarded to eligible to ranked.

Use these to avoid over-narrow filter combinations and to estimate how quickly recruitment will fill.

Requesting a Feasibility Check for Niche Audiences

If your audience is specialized (for example, a specific professional credential, an enterprise role, or a narrow geography), Terac may need to run targeted outreach beyond the existing panel. To get an accurate quote and timeline quickly, share:

DetailWhy it matters
AudienceExactly who qualifies, including any must-have criteria
MethodologySurvey, AI-moderated interview, human-moderated session, multi-part, or in-field task
Length (LOI)Expected length of interview or time on task, which drives the incentive
Sample size (n)How many completes you need
GeographyCountries or regions in scope
TimelineWhen you need fieldwork to finish

With these, Terac can confirm whether the audience is feasible and return a cost per participant and an estimated timeline.

Length of interview and audience difficulty are the biggest drivers of both feasibility and incentive. A longer or more specialized study needs a higher incentive to recruit reliably.

Typical Timelines

Timelines depend on how common your audience is and how long the task takes. As general guidance:

  • Common consumer and standard professional audiences typically fill within about a week, with the first completes often arriving within a few days of launch.
  • Niche or custom audiences that require targeted outreach typically take longer, on the order of one to two weeks.

Your Terac contact will give you a specific estimate for your study as part of the feasibility check, and recruiters keep your study's delivery estimate updated in the dashboard once it is live.

Coverage

Terac maintains a verified panel with broad consumer coverage and specialized professional (B2B) coverage across many industries and seniority levels. For audiences that are not yet well represented in the panel, Terac runs targeted recruitment to source and verify new experts before sending them to your study.

If you are unsure whether an audience is in scope, ask for a feasibility check. It is the fastest way to find out.
