Members and Roles
Invite team members and manage access with role-based permissions.
Terac uses role-based access control (RBAC) to manage what each team member can do within your organization.
Inviting Members
Go to Settings
Navigate to your organization's Settings page and select Members.
Send an invitation
Enter the email address of the person you want to invite and select their role.
They accept
The invitee receives an email with a link to join your organization. Once they accept, they appear in the members list with the assigned role.
Roles and Permissions
Terac has three roles: Owner, Admin, and Member. Owner and Admin differ only around ownership and removing other admins; Member is a read-only role by default.
| Permission | Owner | Admin | Member |
|---|---|---|---|
| View the organization | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Create and edit opportunities | Yes | Yes | No |
| Launch, pause, and stop | Yes | Yes | No |
| Review and approve submissions | Yes | Yes | No |
| Create and edit projects | Yes | Yes | No |
| Invite and manage members | Yes | Yes | No |
| View finance and add credits | Yes | Yes | No |

| Configure SSO | Yes | Yes | No |
| Delete opportunities | Yes | Yes | No |

Member is read-only. Anyone who needs to build, launch, or review studies needs Admin. You can see exactly which permissions each role carries under Settings, then Roles & Permissions.
Managing Members
From the Members page you can:
- Change roles - update a member's role at any time
- Remove members - revoke access to the organization
- Transfer ownership - hand over the Owner role to another member (Owner only)
Pending Invitations
Invitations that have not been accepted yet appear in a separate section. You can:
- Resend the invitation email
- Cancel the invitation
- See when it was sent
Multiple Organizations
Team members can belong to multiple organizations. Each organization has its own roles, billing, and projects. Members switch between organizations using the org switcher in the dashboard.
