Sourcing Channels

How Terac sources and recruits participants through different channels.

Sourcing channels are the mechanisms Terac uses to reach potential participants and drive them to your opportunity. Each channel targets a different audience and works in a different way.

Available Channels

Terac offers several sourcing channels that you can activate for each opportunity:

ChannelHow It Works
Internal PanelReaches experts already in Terac's verified panel who match your filters
Targeted AdsTerac runs paid campaigns to recruit new experts who match your criteria
ReferralsExisting experts refer qualified peers from their professional network

Recruitment LinksCustom links you can share with your own audience

Managing Channels

Activating Channels

When you launch an opportunity, you select which channels to activate. You can also add or remove channels while the opportunity is active.

Pausing and Resuming

Individual channels can be paused and resumed independently. This is useful when:

  • One channel is producing higher quality participants than another
  • You want to control the pace of recruitment
  • You've reached a quota for a specific segment

Channel Performance

The Recruitment tab shows metrics for each active channel:

  • Number of experts reached
  • Number of applications received
  • Qualification rate
  • Cost per qualified participant (where applicable)

Recruitment Workflow

The recruitment workflow view gives you a high-level picture of all channels and their current status. From here you can:

  • See scheduling information for each channel
  • Pause or resume individual channel runs
  • Monitor progress toward your participant cap

Best Practices

  • Start with the internal panel for the fastest results with pre-verified experts
  • Add targeted ads when you need participants beyond what the existing panel can provide
  • Use recruitment links when you have access to your own audience (mailing lists, user communities)
  • Monitor quality by channel and invest in the channels producing the best submissions
