How to find and apply to research opportunities on Terac.

Once your profile is set up, you can start applying to opportunities. Here's how to find studies that match your background and submit your applications.

Finding Opportunities

Browse the Opportunities Page

Visit terac.com/opportunities to see available studies. Each opportunity shows:

  • Title and description what the study is about
  • Compensation how much you'll earn
  • Time commitment estimated duration
  • Requirements attestations or qualifications needed

Opportunity Requirements

Some opportunities require specific qualifications:

  • Attestations verified badges like Government ID, LinkedIn, or Phone
  • Demographics location, language, profession, etc.
  • Experience specific skills or background

If you don't meet the requirements, the opportunity will show which qualifications you're missing.

The Application Process

Step 1: Click Apply

When you find an opportunity that interests you, click the Apply button. This starts your application.

Step 2: Eligibility Check

The system automatically checks if you qualify:

  • Do you have the required attestations?
  • Are there still spots available?
  • Have you already applied?
  • Do you meet the demographic requirements?

If you pass all checks, you'll move to the next step. If not, you'll see which requirements you're missing.

Step 3: Complete Basic Info (if needed)

If your profile is missing required information, you'll be prompted to add it before continuing.

Step 4: Enter Referral Code (optional)

If someone referred you to this opportunity, enter their referral code here. This helps them earn referral rewards.

Step 5: Complete Screening Questions

Most opportunities include screening questions to verify your fit:

  • Answer honestly, as researchers review these responses
  • Your answers help match you with the right studies
  • Some screeners are auto-graded, others are reviewed manually

Step 6: Complete Tasks

After passing screening, you'll complete the main study tasks:

  • Surveys answer questions about your experience or opinions
  • Interviews speak with our AI Moderator about specific topics
  • File uploads submit documents, screenshots, or other materials

Step 7: Await Review

After submitting, your work goes through review:

  • Auto-review some tasks are graded automatically
  • Manual review researchers review your responses
  • Quality check our system checks for completeness

Step 8: Get Paid

Once approved, your earnings are added to your balance. You can then cash out via Virtual Incentives.

Tracking Your Applications

View all your applications in your dashboard:

  • Pending waiting for review
  • In Progress actively completing tasks
  • Approved completed and paid
  • Rejected did not meet requirements

Tips for Successful Applications

  1. Complete your profile the more attestations you have, the more opportunities you'll qualify for
  2. Answer honestly researchers can tell when answers don't match your profile
  3. Be thorough incomplete or rushed responses may be rejected
  4. Check regularly new opportunities are added frequently

What If I'm Rejected?

Rejections happen for several reasons:

  • You didn't meet the screening criteria
  • The study filled up before your application was reviewed
  • Your responses didn't meet quality standards
