Create Your Account
How to sign up for Terac and get started as an expert.
Creating a Terac account is free. You sign in with an account you already have, so there is no password to create.
Sign Up or Log In
Go to terac.com/login.
Continue with LinkedIn is the main option and the one we recommend. It lets Terac pre-fill your professional background during onboarding.
Under or continue with, you can also use:
- Microsoft
- GitHub
The provider you used last is marked Last used, so you can pick it again quickly. The marker is remembered by your browser, so it will not show on a different device.
What Happens After You Sign In
The first time you sign in, you go through a short onboarding flow before reaching your dashboard:
- Verify your phone number. This is the one required step. See Setup Your Profile for how it works.
- Connect LinkedIn or add your resume (optional). Terac uses them to pre-fill your experience, education, and certifications.
- Review your profile. Check what Terac filled in, set your preferred hourly rate, and click All set.
- Take the onboarding interview (optional). A voice conversation of about 10 minutes that helps us match you with opportunities. You can skip it and take it later from Home.
When you are done, you land on your dashboard. Home shows what needs your attention, and Explore lists the opportunities open to you.
Signing In Again
Return to terac.com/login and continue with the same provider you used when you signed up.
If you sign in with a provider whose email address is different from the one on your Terac account, Terac treats it as a new account. Use the same provider, or one that shares the same email address.
FAQ
Can I have more than one account?
No. Each person should have only one Terac account. Multiple accounts violate our Terms of Service and may result in suspension.
Can I sign in with more than one provider?
Yes. Go to Profile → Identity & Security → Linked Accounts and click Link Another Account. Use a provider account with the same email address as your Terac account, so it is added to the account you already have.
I accidentally created a duplicate account, what do I do?
You cannot merge two accounts yourself. Ask Sophia and we will help you sort it out.
It says my email is associated with a previously deleted account
An email address that belonged to a deleted account cannot be used to sign up again. Get in touch if you think this is a mistake.
It says to use my personal email
Terac forwarding addresses (ending in @expert.terac.com) cannot be used to sign in. Use your own email account instead.
