This policy outlines the terms and conditions of Terac's referral program for experts.

Program Overview

The Terac Referral Program allows you to earn commission when people you refer join Terac and complete paid opportunities.

Commission Structure

Commission Rate

You earn 20% of your referral's earnings from approved submissions.

Earnings Cap

The maximum you can earn from a single referral is $1,000.

Once you've earned $1,000 from a specific referral, you stop earning commission from that person (but you keep what you've already earned).

No Limit on Referrals

There's no limit to how many people you can refer. Each referral has their own $1,000 cap.

Eligibility

Who Can Participate

  • Any expert with a Terac account can participate
  • You don't need to have completed opportunities yourself
  • Both new and existing experts can refer others

Who Qualifies as a Referral

For someone to count as your referral:

  • They must create a new Terac account
  • They must use your referral link during sign-up
  • They cannot have an existing Terac account

When You Earn Commission

You earn commission when:

  • Your referral completes an opportunity
  • Their submission is approved
  • Payment for that submission is processed

How to Refer

  1. Log in to your Terac account
  2. Navigate to the referral section
  3. Copy your unique referral link

Share your link via:

  • Direct message to friends or colleagues
  • Social media posts
  • Email to your network
  • Professional communities

Track Referrals

View your referrals and earnings in your dashboard under the referral section.

Commission Payment

Referral earnings are added to your regular Terac balance. You can cash out referral earnings the same way as any other earnings.

Prohibited Activities

The following activities are not allowed and may result in program suspension:

Self-Referral

Creating multiple accounts to refer yourself violates our terms of service and may result in account termination.

Fake Referrals

Creating accounts for people who don't exist or without their knowledge is prohibited.

Spam

Mass unsolicited messaging or posting referral links where they're not welcome is not allowed.

Misleading Claims

Making false claims about Terac or the referral program to encourage sign-ups is prohibited.

Incentive Stacking

Offering additional incentives beyond Terac's referral program (like paying people to sign up) is not allowed.

Program Changes

Terac reserves the right to:

  • Modify commission rates
  • Change the earnings cap
  • Update program terms
  • Suspend the program

We'll notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notification.

Tax Considerations

Referral earnings are taxable income in most jurisdictions. You're responsible for reporting these earnings according to your local tax laws.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your participation in the referral program if:

  • You violate these terms
  • You violate Terac's general Terms of Service
  • We detect fraudulent activity
