How the Referral Program Works
When you refer someone to Terac:
- They sign up using your referral link
- They complete opportunities and earn money
- You earn a commission on their earnings
It's that simple. You earn while they earn.
Commission Structure
- Commission rate: 20% of your referral's earnings
- Earnings cap: Up to $1,000 per person you refer
- No limit on the number of people you can refer
You earn commission on your referral's earnings, not their payouts. When they get paid for completing a study, you automatically earn your share.
Getting Your Referral Link
Generic Referral Link
Share your generic link to invite people to Terac:
- Go to your dashboard
- Find the "Refer a Friend" or "Share" section
- Copy your unique referral link
Anyone who signs up through this link will be tracked as your referral.
Opportunity-Specific Links
When viewing an opportunity, you can share a link specifically for that study:
- Open an opportunity you want to share
- Click the "Share" or "Refer" button
- Copy the opportunity-specific referral link
This is useful when you know someone who's perfect for a specific study.

Tracking Your Referrals
View your referral activity in your dashboard:
- Pending signed up but not yet active
- Active participating in studies
- Earnings commission you've earned from each referral
When Do I Get Paid?
Your referral commission is added to your earnings balance when:
- Your referral completes a study
- Their submission is approved
- Commission is calculated automatically
You can then cash out your referral earnings just like any other earnings.

FAQ
Does my referral need to use my link to sign up?
Yes, they must use your referral link when creating their account for you to receive credit. If they sign up without the link, you won't earn commission.
What if my referral already has an account?
Referral credit only applies to new accounts. If someone already has a Terac account, you cannot add them as a referral retroactively.
Is there a minimum my referral needs to earn?
No minimum. You earn commission on their very first approved submission.
Can I refer myself with a second account?
No. Each person should have only one Terac account. Creating multiple accounts violates our terms of service and may result in suspension.
Do referral earnings count toward my taxable income?
Yes, referral commissions are part of your total Terac earnings and may be subject to taxes depending on your jurisdiction.
